About the Tour

The 36ONE Hatzolah Cycle Tour 2025 will start on Sunday the 4th of May 2025 at the Dream Destination of The Radisson Hotel, Hoedspruit.

Nestled at the foot of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, Hoedspruit is a hidden gem in South Africa Lowveld region, offering an unforgettable blend of adventure, wildlife, and breathtaking scenery. Known as the gateway to Kruger National Park, this charming safari town is surrounded by vast, unspoiled wilderness teeming with Africa iconic wildlife. The region boasts stunning landscapes, from rolling savannas and lush riverbanks to dramatic mountain backdrops, making it the perfect destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

During our cycle tour, you’ll experience the beauty of Hoedspruit up close, pedaling through picturesque terrain with panoramic views at every turn. Our stay at the luxurious Dream Destination Hotel and the newly built Radisson Safari Hotel will provide the perfect balance of comfort and immersion in nature. In the afternoons, we’ll venture into Kruger National Park on thrilling game drives, where you’ll have the chance to witness lions, elephants, leopards, and rhinos in their natural habitat.

Beyond Kruger, we’ll explore some of the area’s most remarkable landmarks, each offering a unique glimpse into the region’s rich history, culture, and natural beauty. Whether it’s the dramatic Blyde River Canyon, the scenic viewpoints of the Panorama Route, or hidden local treasures, every moment promises to be an adventure.

Cyclists need to make their way to the Radisson Blu Safari Hotel in Hoedspruit before dinner at 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 4th, 2025. The following transport options are available at the riders’ own cost: 

1. Self-Drive: Riders can use their own vehicle to the Radisson Blu Safari Hotel in Hoedspruit. Total travel time: approximately 5 hours.
2. Luxury Coach: A luxury coach will be available from Johannesburg on Sunday, May 4th for those who prefer not to drive.
3. Flight: Riders can fly to Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport, with airport transfers available to the hotel.

Tour Packages

Package 1: 

• • Accommodation for 5 nights at the Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday night)
  • All kosher meals including breakfast, lunch and supper / snacks etc. for the 6 days
  • Bicycle transport to and from Hoedspruit
  • Leading front car
  • Motorbike protection
  • Following vehicle / bus and ambulance
  • Magnificent tarred riding roads and spectacular viewing routes
  • Pit stops with refreshments and water stops
  • Back-up transportation during the ride in case of fatigue
  • Bike mechanics on route and at lodging. Any bicycle parts used must be paid for directly

Why ride the 36ONE Hatzolah Cycle Tour?

To raise much needed funds to keep our life saving organization operational.

Accommodation

All hotel bookings during the ride are handled exclusively by Hatzolah. Please do NOT make arrangements directly with the hotel. Accommodation during the ride is included in the registration fee and is based on 2 people sharing.

Tour Costs

South African Riders

Package 1a – Sharing: R17,500 (Shared Room, tour only)
Package 1b – Private : R24,500 (Own Room, tour only)

In addition to the above, each rider is required to collect a minimum of R22,000 in sponsorships. All sponsorships will qualify for a Section 18A certificate. In previous years a number of riders have raised far in excess of this amount and we encourage all riders to raise as much funds as possible for this life-saving organisation.

We suggest that you complete your fundraising by the time of the ride. However, you will have a further 6 to 12 months to collect this commitment, should the need arise.

Please note: You will be required to pay a R5 000 deposit on registration and the balance on your package fee no later than 15th of March 2025. The deposit fee and package fee is fully refundable, should the tour be cancelled. Kindly note that the package fee does not meet the requirements for a Section 18A deduction. If for whatever reason you cannot take part in the cycle tour or the tour is cancelled, this amount can be reclassified as a donation to Hatzolah and you will receive a Section 18A certificate.

Non South African Riders

As we appreciate foreign riders will have more difficulty raising funds for an overseas organisation, the cost will be a flat fee as set out below. Nevertheless, foreign riders are also encouraged to raise as much funds as possible for this life-saving organisation.

Package 1a – Sharing: $2 250 (Shared Room, tour only)
Package 1b – Private : $2 650 (Own Room, tour only)
