About the Tour

The 36One Hatzolah Cycle Tour 2026 kicks off on Sunday, 8 March 2026, from the stunning Asara Hotel in Stellenbosch.

Riders will begin their journey through the rolling vineyards and world-renowned wine farms of the Paarl region before heading out towards the coastline.

From there, the route follows the breathtaking seafront with sweeping views on route to the Hermanus area. After a short transfer by bus, the adventure continues along the iconic Garden Route, where cyclists will experience one of the most majestic stretches of road in the world — a perfect blend of challenge, beauty, and unforgettable scenery. The tour ends in George.

Cyclists need to make their way to the Asara Hotel, Stellenbosch before dinner at 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 8th, 2026. The following transport options are available: 

1. Self-Drive: Riders can use their own vehicle to the Asara Hotel, Stellenbosch. 
2. Flight: Riders can fly to Cape Town International Airport, with airport transfers available to the hotel.
3. All Cape Town Cycle Tour riders will be collected from Cape Town. (Venue to be announced closer to the time)

Tour Packages

Package 1:

• Luxury Accommodation for 5 nights (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday night)
• All kosher meals including breakfast, lunch and supper / snacks etc. for the 6 days
• Bicycle transport to the Asara Hotel in Stellenbosch and from George to Jhb.
• Leading front car
• Motorbike protection
• Following vehicle / bus and ambulance
• Magnificent tarred riding roads and spectacular viewing routes
• Pit stops with refreshments and water stops
• Back-up transportation during the ride in case of fatigue
• Bike mechanics on route and at lodging. Any bicycle parts used must be paid for directly
• Guarding of the bicycles at hotel

Why ride the 36ONE Hatzolah Cycle Tour?

To raise much needed funds to keep our life saving organization operational.

Accommodation

All hotel bookings during the ride are handled exclusively by Hatzolah. Please do NOT make arrangements directly with the hotel. Accommodation during the ride is included in the registration fee and is based on 2 people sharing.

Tour Costs

South African Riders

Package 1a – Sharing: R16,500 (Shared Room, tour only)
Package 1b – Private : R24,500 (Own Room, tour only)

In addition to the above, each rider is required to collect a minimum of R22,000 in sponsorships. All sponsorships will qualify for a Section 18A certificate. In previous years, many riders have raised well in excess of this amount, and we encourage all participants to raise as much as possible for this life-saving organisation.

We suggest that you complete your fundraising by the time of the ride. However, you will have a further 6 to 12 months to collect this commitment, should the need arise.

Please note: You will be required to pay a R5 000 deposit on registration and the balance on your package fee no later than 15th of November 2025. The deposit fee and package fee is fully refundable, should the tour be cancelled. Kindly note that the package fee does not meet the requirements for a Section 18A deduction. If for whatever reason you cannot take part in the cycle tour or the tour is cancelled, this amount can be reclassified as a donation to Hatzolah and you will receive a Section 18A certificate.

Non South African Riders

As we appreciate foreign riders will have more difficulty raising funds for an overseas organisation, the cost will be a flat fee as set out below. Nevertheless, foreign riders are also encouraged to raise as many funds as possible for this life-saving organisation.

Package 1a – Sharing: $2,250 (Shared Room, tour only)
Package 1b – Private : $2,750 (Own Room, tour only)
